We aren’t taught the lesson of friendship in our entire life. We learn it through our connections, or from movies, or through stories. I’ve seen people searching for the ideal definition of friendship. Just as Love can’t be defined, similarly defining friendship is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, through this drama, we can get a brief idea of “What is a Friendship?”, “How can we know that we are with the right people?” & “Ultimate Test of Friendship.”

Sneak Peek into Firefly Lane

The show primarily revolves around the best of friends, Tully and Kate. Tully works as a famous host in a daytime talk show named The Girlfriend Hour. At the same time, Kate is a housewife struggling for work as she is on the verge of getting a divorce from her husband. Kate and Tully are absolute opposites as Kate comes from a happy-go-lucky family which showers love and care on Kate. However, Tully’s mother is a drug addict who always neglects to pay bills, because of which they even feel the scarcity of food.
Even facing so many ups and downs in their respective lives, Tully and Kate never leave each other’s hands. They both are supportive of each other. They remain best of friends from their adolescent age till their 40s. From disclosing every secret to sharing every bit of incidents occurring in their lives, the best friends forever never keep secrets from each other.
Recap…
In the Season Finale, we saw Tully resigning from her job and spoiling her relationship. A distressed and disappointed Tully asks Kate to become the producer, and they would together make a massive comeback. Filled with enthusiasm, Kate turned her head in Yes, and they toast in the New Year for their success with each other. Kate and Tully’s friendship seems stronger than ever, making the episode’s final scene even more incoherent.
However, in the last scene at Kate’s Dad Bud’s funeral, we have seen both our girls having a fierce argument with each other, where they exchange some harsh words and have a violent fight demanding answers from each other. It can be referred to from the fight that either of our lead characters has betrayed one another. Now, the viewers would be more confused because in the previous flashback, it was shown how both our girls are teaming up to establish their publication company, and in the last scene, they are fierce and demanding answers.
Will their friendship be put to the ultimate test? All our answers lie in the Season 2 of Firefly Lane.

Unequivocally, the main characters, the BFFs, would return; apart from them, some supporting characters and recurring roles might return. Here are the characters that would make a comeback: Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey, respectively. Other supporting and recurring roles which might return are Ben Lawson (as Johnny Ryan), Beau Garrett (as Cloud), Yael Yurman (as Marah Ryan), and Jon Ecker (as Max Brody). It won’t be surprising to see some new faces since TV shows usually add new characters with every new season.
