Recap of Shaman King

Shaman King revolves around the group of Shamans. They are an unusual and remarkable breed of individuals who can communicate with gods, spirits, and ghosts, which are initially invisible and imperceptible to ordinary people. An iconic Shaman Fight takes place at five hundred years in which the Shamans go against the world. The winner of this tournament will get the power to address the Greatest Spirit and mould the world as per his desire and convenience and perhaps what he thinks is best for the individuals.
In the Present Time, a middle-school boy Manta Oyamada gets late for this class and the result of which he decides to take a shortcut to the local graveyard. He then notices the presence of other persons in the cemetery and tries to unveil their identities. But when he unravels the truth that the individuals are none other than a boy with his ghost friends, he runs away due to terror.
Tardily, the boy at the graveyard introduces himself as Yoh Asakura, a Shaman who can communicate with spirits. Manta then learns that Asakura is Shaman-in-training who does training by teaming up with a samurai turned ghost Amidamaru, six hundred years old.
Yoh Asakura affirms his powers by teaming up with Amidamaru to save Manta from a group of hooligans to win over Manta. Yoh then assists Manta because he can talk to and see the spirits, and with the help of Adidamaru, they set to attain Asakura’s goal to be the next Shaman King.
Yoh Asakura sets his voyage along with his fiancee Anna and Adidamaru. After his arrival, he trains himself for the first round of the fight, where Yoh has to win two out of three matches. First, Yoh wins against Usui Horokeu but loses against Johann Faust VIII, the necromancer.
