Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy present a documentary about the atrocities of gay conversion therapy, with testimony from former leaders of the “pray the gay away” movement as well as victims. The documentary was directed by Kristine Stolakis and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021.

2. Cocaine Cowboys

The Miami Kings It will be released on Netflix on August 4th.

Billy Corben will return to a subject he explored a decade and a half ago in his classic film Cocaine Cowboys (2006), which inspired multiple sequels. The six-part series delves into the background of the South Florida drug lords whose arrests made headlines.

3. Cooking with Paris 

It will be released on Netflix on August 4th.

Paris Hilton is getting a cooking show on Netflix, so she’ll be trading in her silver spoon for an apron and cooking up a combination of dishes with many famous guests in the kitchen.

4. Hit & run (Season 1)

This new suspense series arrives from the creators of Netflix’s Fauda and The Killing, and it occurs to be established on the DNA of the two last series. Lior Raz and Sanaa Lathan are the lead cast.

7. Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild

It will be available on Netflix on August 12th.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter has an anime film published on Netflix globally in August, adding to Netflix’s long line of video game IP adaptations.

Here’s what to anticipate: “A young guy named Aiden, who refers to himself as a hunter, guards his remote town. One day, he learns that the Elder Dragon, a mysterious monster, is threatening his hamlet. Aiden leaves his home and embarks on a voyage into the unknown with Julius, a first-rate Hunter’s Guild member, and his comrades, in search of a method to preserve his village.”

8. Sweet Girl

It will be available on Netflix on August 20th.

Jason Momoa leads in this latest action thriller. The film is directed by Brian Mendoza and stars Isabela Merced, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Amy Brenneman, in addition to Momoa. Remember that Netflix is also working on a movie with Jason Momoa called Slumberland.

9. The Loud House 

The movie will be available on Netflix on August 20th.

The Nickelodeon feature film companion to the popular series is finally available on Netflix after a long wait. Dave Needham directed the almost hour-and-a-half film, which stars all of your favorite characters from the original program. The gang will be going on vacation to Scotland in the film.

10. Beckett

It will be available on Netflix on August 27th.

Beckett According to what we know so far, John David Washington will star in Beckett, a new thriller from director Ferdinando Cito Filomarino about a vacationing couple caught in a conspiracy scheme, in his third Netflix Original movie of 2021.

11. He’s All That

It will be available on Netflix on August 27th.

Netflix hasn’t remade or rebooted a legendary franchise in a long time, but it’ll do so again in August with He’s All That, a remake of Miramax’s 1999 feature She’s All That. Even though some of the original cast members return, this is a standalone film about an influencer who accepts a challenge to change the school’s culture.

12. The Chair (Season 1)

The movie will be available on Netflix on August 27th.

The Chair will be one of the first important missions from Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Sandra Oh, Holland Taylor, David Morse, and Bob Balaban star in the series, an all-star ensemble.

• Gone for Good (Season 1)

It will be released on Netflix on August 13th.

Netflix has been working on adapting several of Harlan Coben’s works, with this French adaptation of Gone for Good being the next in line.

Here’s what to anticipate: Guillaume felt he’d put an end to the tragedy that had claimed the lives of the two people he cared about the most. Judith, whose love has generated his life worth living again ten years later, mysteriously disappears during his mother’s funeral.
