It’d be an injustice if we didn’t start off with Tarantino’s movie that led him to all the stardom and fame. Reservoir Dogs, a movie that Tarantino made on a $1 million budget at the time, again turned out to be one of the most popular crime/heist movies of all time. The story played out in multiple parallels as there were six characters for the taking and they had teamed up with aliases named of colors. Although, while the heist progresses, they soon realize that one of the guys in the gang is a cop who is trying to infiltrate them and goes undercover to bring down their operation. It stars some bankable names such as Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Chris Penn, and several others.

What is so great about this movie is the number of fighting sequences that have taken place in the first and second movies, and how they end up as a beautiful compilation of aestheticizing movie violence. This is something that Tarantino is very well known for. Although controversy has spiked several times as to how movie violence may have a connection with real-time influence. Tarantino has defended himself by justifying his stance on movie violence and how it has no prior connection to real-time violence. The movie series also stars Michael Madsen, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah, and Vivica A. Fox in some prominent roles.

Inglourious Basterds

In the words of Lt. Aldo Raine, “I think this just might be my masterpiece.”. This movie is the brainchild of Quentin Tarantino as it is another story dealing with a blood-soaked vengeance during the time of the Second World War. The story is two-fold. There are two sides to this coin as on one side, there is a woman who is out for revenge to kill a German officer, Hans Landa, who killed the girl’s family in cold blood when she was young.

This movie took 10 years for Tarantino to make and is an absolute masterpiece.

The Hateful Eight

A movie that is filled with the best Western history references and American Civil War humor, this movie is set during the 1860s.
