Outer Banks, the action-adventure teen drama, is coming for a second season. The TV series created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke released on April 15, 2020, on Netflix. Netflix has announced that the second season will be coming out on July 30, 2021. The fans are excited that their favorite teen drama is all set to come back for another season.
The show goes with the themes of mystery and thriller along with Action-adventure. The first season has ten episodes. We are not yet sure about the number of episodes for Season 2. But we are sure they are going to be as amazing as the first 10. The renewal of Season 2 was announced by Netflix in July 2020, only three months after the first season was released.
The season started by introducing friends John B, JJ, Pope, and Kiara. The group lives in a coastal town in North Carolina. There is a stark social divide between wealthy residents and working-class people of the town. The Wealthy are called the Kooks and the working class as Pogues. Except for Kiara, all three boys belong to Pogues.
The group is determined to find out the truth behind what happened to John B’s father. John B is the group’s ringleader. The teens discover a legendary treasure along the way. The treasure had some connection to John B’s father.
John B had lost his father and was put in the care of his uncle, who stayed away for months. So John B has to be put in foster care, but he doesn’t want to be. The process gets postponed due to the weather.
Moreover, the group finds a drowned boat in the marsh. They find a key in the boat, which leads them to a hotel room. They find an envelope, a gun, and some cash there. JJ, one of John B’s friends, takes the gun. When John and the group go back to explore the boat, they discover a compass in a bag that had “Redfield” written in the handwriting of John B’s father on it. Later, John B loses his job for the scuba gear he took from his employer. He goes on to find out what the words meant. He finds out with the help of a family tree that it is connected to his great-grandmother. The group heads to the graveyard to determine what connection the compass had with the great grandmother while being chased by two men who also wanted to find the same objects.
They find an envelope that contained the map to the location of where the Royal Merchant sank and learn that there is 400 million dollar treasure on the Merchant. After that they set out to hunt the treasure. While facing many obstacles on their journey. The Kooks go behind the group to stop them from taking the money. John B is even accused of murder which he later gets out of by revealing the name of the real murderer.
The Last Episode
In the last episode, John B escapes in his father’s boat and Sarah, his Ex-employer’s daughter, and his love interest. They are chased by the authorities, due to which they get stuck in a storm in the middle of the ocean. They are presumed dead; their friends mourn them. They are later revealed to be rescued by a cargo ship. They then realize that they have a chance to get back the gold. We wondered if they went back to their town to meet their friends or went on ahead to chase the gold on their own. Season 2 is going to answer all those questions.
Season 2: Cast
Chase Stokes as John B and Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron is all set to come back in the world where they’re thought to be dead. In addition, Madison Baily as Kiara, Jonathan Davis as Pope, and Rudy Pankow as JJ and Austin North as Topper will be coming back for season 2. Other cast members, including Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten, will also come back in Season 2 on July 30, 2021. We are excited to see all of them return to our Netflix screens.
What New Adventures is Season 2 Bringing?
The second season will take us through more of the Pogues’ journey of fighting the rich and sticking together as friends. The second season will reveal if the other group members find out about John B and Sarah being alive. As Netflix recently released the trailer on YouTube, they carve John B’s name on a tree in his memory and mourn for Sarah along with him. On the other hand, the perfectly alive couple John B and Sarah are shown to have some fun and are engaged in an intense car chase. So, you know what to expect in Season 2. Our favorite Pogues will be back on the beach for more ocean vibes or sailing on the sea to find more treasure and make more memories.
