Mindhunter is a Crime-Thriller TV show based on the Nonfiction book “Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker (1995). The show is created by Joe Penhall. Mindhunter, the TV show stars FBI Agents Holden Ford played by Jonathan Groff, Bill Tench by Holt McCallany, and Anna Torv as Wendy Carr. The show talks about the FBI Agents working in the Behavioral Science Unit of the Department and trying to understand the psychology of imprisoned serial killers to help and apply it to their present cases.

The show is set in the time period of 1977 1981. Throughout the episodes, the FBI Agents Holden, Bill, and Wendy try to understand their cases with the help of former serial killers who help them understand how the mind of a killer works. Several known actors played the roles of former serial killers of America that assisted the FBI Agents to help solve cases. Mindhunter has two seasons to date. The show perfectly gives justice to the real-life stories from the book.

The Queen’s Gambit is a historical miniseries based on the book of the same name by Walter Tevis (1983). Scott Frank wrote and directed the show and created it along with Allan Scott. The show is about an orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon, who sets out on the path to rise on top of the Chess world, while simultaneously having drug and alcohol problems.

 

The show The Queen’s Gambit stars Anya Taylor-Joy in the leading role as Beth Harmon along with Bill Camp who plays Mr. Shaibel who teaches Beth the game of Chess. The timeline of the show is set around the 1950s to 1960s. The show talks about the young orphan girl who is left in an orphanage, where she learns to play Chess and proceeds to go to higher levels in the world of Chess. The Witcher, played by Henry Cavill is set on a journey to find Princess Ciri by Freya Allan, along with Anya Chalotra who plays Yennefer, a sorceress.
