Oskar, who is a German industrialist, takes on the mantle of hiring a few Jewish employees to save their livelihood during their time of the war.
It’s an emotional ride as this movie makes a rich connection between a German industrialist and Jewish workers and laborers, who at the time were two parties in great contradiction from one another. The movie also features Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes in supporting roles. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Steven Spielberg won his second Academy Award for Best Director for the movie.
Zero Dark Thirty
Mentioning again one of the greats, as this movie made headlines the time it came out! Based on Operation Neptune Spear, this movie is based on the international manhunt for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Osama Bin Laden. The movie stars Jessica Chastain in the main role as a CIA intelligence analyst. This movie is directed by Katheryn Bigelow, who has made her name with movies like The Hurt Locker, Point Break, and others. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing.

Directed by the one and only Spaghetti Western star, Clint Eastwood, this movie stars Bradley Cooper in the main role as Chris Kyle, a SEAL sniper. The movie is an emotional ride during Alan’s biography going through the frame. It even explores the different themes of war.
Beasts of No Nation
Directed by the one and only, Cary Joji Fukunaga, this movie is an adaptation of the American-Ghanian war book of the same name. It’s based on a Civil War that breaks out in West Africa in an unspecified country. Idris Elba plays one of the main roles as Commandant, where he trains a young orphan named Agu, who he is preparing to fight for guerrilla warfare. The movie is built on serious suspense as certain plot twists take place in different factions of the movie. Its action is filled with a little philosophical touch.
Black Hawk Down
Directed by another well-known mastermind in the world in cinema, Ridley Scott, this movie is something you’ve never seen before. This movie stars Josh Hartnett and Evan McGregor in the main roles.
