The film includes many talented actors in prominent roles. “The Witch” famed Anya Taylor-Joy as Sandy, the protagonist, and “Leave No Trace,” starring Thomasin McKenzie as Eloise in leading roles. The other cast members include Diana Rigg as Miss Collins, Rita Tushingham as Peggy Turner, Jessie Mei Li as Lara, and Synnøve Karlsen as Jocasta. The film also stars “The Crown” and “Doctor Who” actor Matt Smith in an unknown but a leading role. Terence Stamp, Michael Jibson, and Lisa McGrills are a few more actors with unknown roles. The mysterious and tight-lipped behavior of the crew of film regarding its plot confirms the suspicion that we could not expect a trailer before 2021 too. The film brings a mysterious horror element to the time-traveling genre of Hollywood. The film revolves around Sandy (Anya Taylor), a young wannabe fashion designer who somehow travels back to the 1960s. She is head over heels after encountering her idol in real life, a dazzling wannabe singer. But soon, her flying dreams crash lands into reality after she realizes 1960s London is not as pleasant as it seems. The time starts to fall apart, with shady consequences with each passing moment.
According to the director, Edgar Wright, the film is inspired by many British Horror films like Roman Polanski’s Repulsion and Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now. As made evident from the title, most of the film takes place in London’s Soho neighborhood. Director Wright is well known for his direction of Horror movies and mixing genres to provide chills to viewers. Wright’s famous movies include Shaun of the dead in 2004, Hot Fuzz in 2007, The World’s End in 2013, and the latest Baby Driver in 2017.
