The dearth of the peace has finally come to a settling point where the filming of various series is set to begin. The show ‘Call The Midwife’ is counting upon the year ahead to release its tenth season. The casts of the show have been sharing their snaps with hair and makeup done from behind the sets of Call The Midwife.

The release date for Call The Midwife

As per the news updates, filming paused around March 2020 noting the dreaded circumstances of Corona Virus spread. Dame Pippa Harris, the executive producer, announced the pause over twitter stating the above-mentioned reasons. The show also mentioned over media about how they’re still working while isolating themselves.

Around the 18th of August, 2020, the series resumed filming. The news was delivered via the makers of the show. As planned before, the Christmas special will continue to be broadcasted in Christmas 2020. Nobody knows when will the main season commence after the Christmas special.

The Cast List for The Call For Midwife

Jennifer Kirby, who played Nurse Valerie won’t be continuing the show. Over Instagram, she has expressed her grief about this fact and wants to continue watching the show from, as said by her, the other side of the screen. Other than her, the rest will resume their positions hopefully. The list includes Jenny Agutter (Sister Julienne), Linda Bassett (Nurse Crane), Judy Parfitt (Sister Monica Joan), Fenella Woolgar (Sister Hilda), Ella Bruccoleri (Sister Frances), Helen George (Trixie), Laura Main (Shelagh Turner), Leonie Elliott (Lucille).

Stephen McGann (Dr Turner), Cliff Parisi (Fred), Annabelle Apsion (Violet), Georgie Glen (Miss Higgins), Max Macmillan (Timothy), Zephryn Taitte (Cyril), and Daniel Laurie (Reggie) have their roles to be continued as well.

The Plot Structure for Call The Midwife

The show will have guest stars arriving in the episodes as well. The same has been for other seasons where the Nonnatus House doors are always open for the exciting members. The show isn’t sure of Lee Armstrong returning.

The set of the show is going to be Poplar itself as revealed by Heidi Thomas. Thomas shares the basic show details in her interview with Radio Times:

“And there will be snow, and there will be tinsel, and there will be trees, and there will be Christmas dinner at Nonnatus House. And beyond that, it’s a secret!”

As the previous series goes, with Nonnatus House rent exceeding limits. The time limit provided for the clearance of rent is 12 months. The situation in last season seemed deceptive even after restoring the full budget. It is to see if the season 10 results at the end of the order. Cyril and Lucille’s love story is also looking forward to being taking tunes and turns. Will, they set off for marriage or continue to woe each other?

Call The Midwife has gained a good amount of fan following and fans are having many unanswered questions from the previous season. The next season of Call The Midwife will answer all the unanswered questions. One hopes good fortune striking the Nonnatus House in the next season!
