What is the Story so Far and, What is the Plot Ahead?
The 2018 Halloween movie is the direct sequel to the 1978 Halloween movie and takes place after 40 years of the events of the first film. Michael Myers, who was in prison for the last 40 years, manages to escape and is now on a killing spree to end Laurie and her family. The 2018 movie ended with Laurie hurting Michael really bad and setting the house on fire to let him burn alive. In the post-credit scene, viewers hear his breathing, thus establishing that he is still alive.
Two months ago, Blumhouse released an official teaser trailer for the film. The trailer shows the clip just after the previous movie’s end. Fire police rush to the crime scene while Laurie shouts them to let him burn, all in vain. The teaser ends with a creepily smiling Michael Myers.
So, the next chapter will deal with Laurie Strode and her family, forced to confront the psychotic and murderous serial killer Michael Myers once again.
