Family Reunion is among one of the funniest Netflix original family sitcoms. Directed by Eric Dean, the show follows the life of an African-American family, the McKellans. They move from Seattle to Georgia to be with their extended family. With an all-black cast and some good writing, the show depicts African-American culture and southern charm positively.

As it has done with many other shows such as ‘No Good Nick‘ and ‘The Ranch,’ Netflix divided the seasons into parts. Season one had 20 episodes. It split into two parts of 10 episodes each. So Family Reunion’s initial season premiered in July 2019. One episode of part 2 came out as a holiday memorable in December 2019. And the remaining nine episodes came out on January 20, 2020.

Netflix has renewed the show for the third part, which probably marks season 2 has 16 episodes. But like many other shows, the pandemic has derailed the shooting of the show. Thus, viewers will have to wait at least early 2021 for the third season.
It shows a multi-generational African American family going on holiday when they leave their life in Seattle and enjoy Georgia’s brand-new region. They did this as a part of being close to their extended family. However, they face many challenges here as they moved from the West Coast and seeks the countryside’s comforts. They need to cope with three-hour church offerings and the hot, humid summers of the south.

The show follows the life of the McKellans, as they leave their active and busy city life in Seattle and move to Columbus, Georgia. The McKellan’s left the west coast because they wanted to live with M’Dear and grandfather McKellan’s matriarch and go back to where it all began.
In season 3, we will see Adventures in the life of the McKellan family. The third season will be full of drama and comedy. It will be interesting to see new issues faced by the family members together and without each other.
The quirk shown by the family and the comedy, along with it, keeps the viewers attached to the entertaining episodes.
