So without further ado, here are top 5 games to play if you like Road Rash.
Road Rage is a 2017 racing video game developed by Team 6 Studios and published by Maximum Games, released worldwide on November 14, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It is set in the open world, the fictitious city of Ashen. Players ride around on a bike and are free to wander around the city. Ashen has seven districts, ranging from the downtown core to suburban farmland.
Gameplay in Road Rage composes mostly of standard “circuit” races, time trials, the performing of stunts and assassinations of rival bikers. While racing, players have with melee weapons (and firearms in the late game) which come in handy to attack opponents.
Extreme-G is a futuristic racing video game by Probe Entertainment, features an original Hardstyle trance soundtrack. Despite the Nintendo 64 racing games’ popularity, Extreme-G received with moderately positive reviews and was a commercial success.
The gameplay of Extreme-G consists of fast-paced racing through a variety of futuristic environments. A range of defensive and offensive weapons are available on-track. These include multi-homing/reverse missiles, magnetic/laser mines, and shield-boosting power-ups.
Special weapons like invisibility, phosphorus flash and the mighty Wally-Warp are also available. These weapons can instantly transport a bike right to the back of the pack.
Wreckfest is a racing video game by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. It is the spiritual successor to the FlatOut series and a cross between FlatOut, Destruction Derby and cult 1989 PC racer Street Rod.
A notable feature of the game engine is the use of soft-body damage modelling. It enables location-based damage that affects the driving dynamics of vehicles in a realistic fashion.
The game contains a variety of gameplay features like banger racing and demolition derby. The gameplay has similar rules as most racing games. The gamer controls a car in a race or the demolition derby, and the goal is to win the race or be the only survivor of the derby.
Before participating in an event, the gamer must select a vehicle, select either manual or automatic transmission, and select either a dirt or tarmac track on which to race. Players will also be able to buy and sell vehicles, customise vehicles, and perform “research”. The game features three modes: career, multiplayer and custom events.
Road Rash 3D
Road Rash 3D is a video game by Electronic Arts exclusively for the PlayStation.
The game plays similarly to previous games in the Road Rash series. It involves the player racing their motorcycle against other motorcyclists. Gameplay favours an arcade-like style, with little emphasis on realism.
While racing, the player has the option of punching or using weapons to attack other opponents. The end goal is to place first in the race in order to earn money to upgrade the player’s motorcycle. Conversely, the worst scenario is to finish last, which doesn’t earn money, or be stopped by police officers, where the player actually loses money.
Road Redemption is a racing video game by EQ-Games and Pixel Dash Studios.
The game aims to replicate the arcade-like simplicity and silliness of the Road Rash games.
The game will feature split-screen multiplayer modes. It includes the computer-based ones, which is more of a rarity for the platform. The proposed Wii U version will also feature multiplayer sessions. It takes place with one player on the television and the other using just the Wii U GamePad screen.
