In January 2019, CW confirmed the 15th season for the famous fantasy-drama Supernatural. The fans of the show had their hearts broken when the SPN trio confirmed in a video, that the 15th season will be their last time on Supernatural.
Created by Eric Kripke, the series streams on CW and is also available on Amazon Prime. The show had gone on production hiatus since March, considering the worldwide Covid19 outbreak.
Supernatural left its fans on tenterhooks when it finished airing the pre-recorded episodes. Now, the longest-running American genre series is in news for its return. Here is everything for you to know about its upcoming episode and expected plot.
Season 15 New Episode: When Will It Arrive?
The Eric Kripke series already has 13 out of the 20 episodes released and out on Amazon Prime. Recently, CW president Mark Pedowitz announced in the network’s press call that comes fall 2020, Supernatural will return to Thursday nights at 8 pm ET.
On a side note, Padalecki fans will continue watching him from January 2021, on Walker, streaming in the same slot on CW.
Supernatural Season 15 Cast:
The fans will continue watching their favourite SPN heroes Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam Winchester. Our Angel Castiel (aka agent Beyoncé) will also return, played by Misha Collins.
In a post-Comic Con panel presser, showrunner Andrew Dabb confirmed Jake Abel’s return as Sam and Dean’s forgotten sibling ‘Adam’. According to TV Line, the fans will also get to see Matt Cohen reprise his role as Young John Winchester.
Sadly, we probably won’t see Jeffrey Dean Morgan anymore. He made it public when he tweeted his farewell and best wishes to Ackles and Padalecki for the final season.
We can also expect the return of Fredric Lehne as Yellow Eyes aka Azazel, because since season 2, what’s dead didn’t stay dead!
Supernatural Season 15 Plot:
The last season ended on a thrilling cliffhanger when the infuriated God’s eerie outburst opened the literal gates of Hell. This led to a release of freight of evil souls, making their way back to Earth.
Previously, showrunner Dabb told Entertainment Weekly about the final season’s plot. He said “God was not kidding when he said it was the end of this world. How Sam and Dean deal with that..is what we’ll explore in season 15.”
The final outing of Supernatural will see the return of older faces the series dovetails with the first season and will pay tribute to various stories over the years.
