Steven Knight’s period crime-drama, Peaky Blinders Season 6, will soon be available for its fans. The series is inspired by the World War I, family gang, Peaky Blinders, whose havoc continued from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Knight’s crime series has already won several awards for its story and direction. Its fifth season was completed in 2019, and the wait for its second season has begun.
Let’s look at all the updates on the upcoming series.
The sixth season will drop around 2021. However, the makers have not confirmed any official date yet, and the production of the series also has stalled due to the outbreak of the pandemic. Therefore, it is, however, to start, and we do not even expect to release it this year.
In 2017, with its fourth season, makers confirmed that they would take three more seasons in the row. That means the upcoming season will be the second last part of the Blinders. Knight also hinted that they are planning on spin-off or a film on a crime family.
The main cast of the series will recur in the sixth part. Cillian Murphy as Tommy, Harry Kirton as Finn, Helen McCrory as Polly, Paul Anderson as Arthur, Sophie Rundle as Ada, Kate Phillips as Linda will appear. Apart from them, Annabelle Wallis, Joe Cole, Charlotte Riley, Benjamin Zephaniah, Natasha O’Keeffe will also join.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Plot
As of now, we do not have a revelation on the storyline. But makers promised their fans that season six would be a blast compared to its previous season. Therefore, fans can expect dual-action and chaos in the next season.
Looking at the previous season, we expect Season 6 also to be six episodes long, beginning with the first episode, which is officially named ‘Black Day’.
