Jungle Cruise release date: When will it arrive in theatres?
Jungle Cruise is slated to release on 24th July 2020 in the US and the UK cinemas.
Jungle Cruise trailer: Has any footage arrived?
Yes. A teaser trailer landed on 11th October. A second glimpse rolled out in March 2020. A teaser that landed previously didn’t reveal much about the plot, but, it featured Dwayne and Emily having a fun time while teasing adventure “love story”, which had reference to the classic The African Queen. A wrap video also came up that again featured the duo.
Jungle Cruise cast:
Emily Brunt who starred in Mary Poppins Returns plays Lily Houghton, a scientist on an expedition to search for a magical tree that has healing powers. Bad education star and comedian Jack Whitehall will be seen as Lily’s gay brother, McGregor Houghton.
While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays Frank Wolff, a riverboat captain who aides the siblings on their mission through the wild, dangerous jungle. The other joiners include Edgar Ramirez as an unnamed villain along with Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.
Jungle Cruise plot: What will happen?
The synopsis follows as such: Dr Lily Houghton claims that there exists a tree that has magical restorative powers and is called Tree of life. She and her brother McGregor Houghton is aided by a wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff who takes them to the Amazon in his dilapidated boat. On the way, they confront wild, dangerous animals and a rival German expedition.
