Murphy’s world of fantasy 1940s Hollywood is way more progressive than how it was in reality. But will it remain that way?

A second instalment could mean more content pushing for resistance against the patriarchy, discrimination of women, of POC, and the LGBTQ+ community.

It could also delve into the dark side of what it means to have fame. Ramond, Camille, Jack, and Archie have worked hard for their success, but history has shown us how damaging glory can also be.

To continue the story of Hollywood, Murphy and his co-creator Ian Brennan are looking further reimagine the actual history of Hollywood to fit the new, more tolerant landscape they’ve envisioned.

As Hollywood was initially to be produced as a limited series, so now we don’t even know that the creators, Murphy and Brennan have anything for the plot that far ahead.

The 2020 Emmy nominations further made sure that it is a limited series because Actors Jeremy Pope, Dylan McDermott, Jim Parson, and Holland Taylor all received nominations in their respective “limited series or movie” categories.

Let’s hope for the best of the show and the viewers.
