If Falcon (Anthony Mackie) received the Captain America (Chris Evans) shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame (2019), to make him the new Captain in future films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what could be the history of the limited series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which the streaming platform Disney Plus premieres in August 2020?
It is known that it will be a limited series of six episodes and will expand the history of the group of characters closest to Captain America. We are referring to Sam Wilson (Mackie), the superhero with mechanical wings and now the protector of the Captain America shield; Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Steve Rogers’ best friend and known as the Winter Soldier; and Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), SHIELD agent.

Disney President Robert Iger confirmed on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in a meeting with company shareholders, that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be released in August 2020, with no exact date yet.
Shortly before and unofficially, a report from January 24, 2020, assured that Marvel Studios had brought forward the series premiere for August. Initially, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Disney had communicated that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would arrive at Disney Plus in Fall 2020.
The series is likely to air as often as a new episode every week until its story is complete.
