Mel Brooks’ 1974 Western comedy movie, the iconic Blazing Saddles, is to recreate into an American action-adventure comedy film, Blazing Samurai. It is to be distributed by Sony Pictures International with some splendid computer animation. Keep reading to know some more inside details.

A new set of the cast will feature in Blazing Samurai. Michael Cera will play Hank, Samuel L. Jackson will be seen as Jimbo, Ricky Gervais as Ika Chu, Heavenly Joy Jerkins as Emiko, Djimon Hounsou will play Sumo, Mel Brooks will be seen as Shogun, George Takei as Ohga, Gabriel Iglesias as Chuck, Michelle Yeoh will play Yuki, Randy Orton as Teddy, Mel B as The Giraffe, Sandra Tsing Loh will play Little Mama, and Aasif Mandvi will be seen as Ichiro.
Blazing Samurai: Release Date
The production houses have kept the audience in suspense for long about the release date. The release of the movie has been delayed several times. It was initially scheduled to release on April 14, 2017, but then the date was shifted to August 4, 2017, which was again postponed to May 11, 2018. But then, it did not make it back to its 2018 schedule, and now the release date has been pushed to 2021 in November. We hope that this time Blazing Samurai makes it to the theatres.
Blazing Samurai: Plot
Played by Michael Cera, Hank is a Scrappy dog, and he wants to make it big as a Samurai, in a mostly feline land. Hank has many good qualities, but he meets an evil cat, played by Ricky Gervais, as the warlord Ika Chu. In the town of Kakamucho. Hank becomes acquainted with Jimbo (Samuel L. Jackson), and Jimbo teaches him the ethics of being a Samurai. Both of them together set themselves on a journey to save Kakamucho from Ika Chu.
