The 100 Season 8: Release Date And Who Is In Cast?

The 100 is presumably one of popular teen dramas on television at the moment. The show is currently in its seventh season and is already making headlines for the plot. So much so, that the fans are wondering about the future of the show. Here is everything we know about the eighth season of The 100 so far:

About The 100:

The 100 is a post-apocalyptic teen drama that is loosely based on the novel series of the same name by Kass Morgan. The show is created by Jason Rothenberg for the CW Television Network. The first season of the show released in 2014 and gained praise for its story and visual effects.

What is The 100 about?

The 100 Season 8

The show takes place in a world ravaged by a nuclear attack where the surviving humans reside in the space on a ship called Ark. 97 years after, 100 juvenile delinquents are sent back to Earth to see if it can be habited again or not. The show follows the journey of these 100 teens and their struggle for survival.

Will there be an eighth season of The 100?

As previously mentioned the seventh season of the show, which released in May 2020, is currently running on TV. When the season was announced in April 2019, it was made clear that the seventh season will mark the end of the series. So yes, The 100 won’t be returning for another season.

And yet, there is some silver lining.

Show’s creator Rothenberg announced that they are working on a prequel to the show. The name for the same has been declared yet. The pilot for the same series will be appearing in the seventh season of the show. The episode will be called ‘Anaconda’. There have been no announcements about the release date of the prequel as of yet.

We do know about the cast for this prequel series. These include Iola Evans as Callie, Adain Bradley as Reese, and Leo Howard as August.

In conclusion, we can say that we might not be seeing Clarke and friends on screen again but the prequel will be worth the wait!
