Minimal Effect is an upcoming comical sci-fi action-RPG from Toadman Studios and publisher Sold Out with a colorful cast of diverse and dubious characters on a quest to save the galaxy once again, and they also encounter plenty of space alien combat.
It is a complete action-RPG like Mass Effect, but the difference is this upcoming RPG is a parody and quite obviously making some pokes at the Mass Effect series and the genre as a whole.
The animation has a really impressive cartoon style to it, but what about the gameplay or story? We can’t help but wonder if the makers can pull it off because venturing into the parody or comic realm is not a very common thing in the game world.
Nevertheless, let’s head into all the details about the anticipated game!
What is the Release Date of the Minimal effect?
There’s no exact release date revealed as of now. But it’s expected that the Minimal effect will be launched in North America and Europe in 2021.
After it gets launched, the title will be available on most major consoles and Windows PC. More platform details will be announced at a later date.
How is the Gameplay?
The gameplay of the Minimal effect depends on the idea that you take charge of this crew of characters aboard their craft, the Star Alliance Balding Eagle. And guide the team. You are expected to learn new skills and meet new characters while also exploring side quests.
It includes all the usual action-RPG format, but the thing is, in this video game. You get to do all that with a funny, cartoon-style twist.
If you need assurance on the worth of the gameplay, let me quote Rasmus Davidsson, Creative Director of Minimal effect. He reportedly stated. “While the story is ridiculous. The gameplay certainly is not- this is a fully-fledged action-RPG created in the art-style of adult animation you know and love.”
There’s a short clip of a Minimal Affect Announcement Trailer available on YouTube. Check it out!
