What is the director saying?

Speaking to Watchmen Season 2, Lindelof said:

“If I was going to more seasons of Watchmen, The first thing to have would be a really cool idea and a justification for doing it. I don’t have either of them right now but it doesn’t mean that they won’t come at some time in the future.

He hinted that he had no idea about the show’s future and sounded as if he wasn’t really interested in being connected to the show.
Writer-producer Damon Lindelof said that he had his chance to make an attempt at DC and now he wants someone else to take a shot. That simply means he won’t be making Season 2, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be getting season 2. Be hopeful people.!
