Where we stand
The sequel will pick up where the 2018 reboot of Tomb Raider, which is loosely based on the 2013 video game of the same name, left off.
Filming started in early 2020 in England. It was then announced, according to Geek Vibes Nation, that principal photography was scheduled to begin in April with filming to be taking place across the globe in a variety of countries including, but not limited to, England, South Africa, Finland and China.
The movie will portray more of the supernatural elements and tones from the video game, for gamers to connect with.
Production has now been delayed, presumably until approximately sometime this summer due to the sudden global pandemic crisis.
