Villains too can have an unfair life with no perks at all. Their inhumane revolt might have stemmed from something equally inhumane happening to them. With the premiering of Joker, one now knows in how many shapes and sizes do depression en-masked in triumph and glory comes in. Heath Ledger was the face of Joker until Joaquin Phoenix played the field in 2019.
His portrayal of passionate insanity and darkness has delivered the right message around the corner. A villain in the true sense, an actor in the right forms never ceased to surprise us throughout the movie. Is there going to be a Joker 2? We most certainly wish for one. With a credit of $1 billion, the franchise won’t just stop casting Phoenix. There is unavoidable good news lying ahead of you!
A green signal is passed on by Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix with Joker 2. However, we don’t yet have any release dates. The production itself is on hold as of now as the discussion is not yet over regarding the movie-making. Rumors say that we’ll have it by the end of 2021 at the latest.
Phillips in a recent interview said, “Most films are in the dust, but this one is about gunpowder.“ He makes it clear how he wants the theme and the lighting to be the same as Joker one, more naturalistic, psychological, and less of action. The plot might stem out of the last scene of Joker where he walks out frantically in a muse of Arkham State Hospital.
What is his motive now? Will we see Batman in action in the next movie? Will he stop Joker from his hideous motives? All will be known in good time.
Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, with Sophie Dumond (Frances Conroy) and Detective Garrity (Glenn Fleshler) and Gary (Josh Pais). Hoyt Vaughn (Rocco Luna), GiGi Dumond (Marc Maron), Genetics Ufland (Sondra James), and Dr. Sally (Murphy Guyer) are the once we will hopefully see in the respective roles of Joker 2.
