The movie was initially set to release on November 1, 2021. But because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the movie’s release date is now shifted and will hit the big screens on March 25, 2022.

The movie is going to have prominent characters of Marvel universe like

-Production details

In January, the FTIA (Film and Television Industry Alliance) announced that the film would begin shooting this year on May 44, in London, New York City, and Los Angeles. Pre-creation on the film has allegedly proceeded remotely, and sources state that the spin-off is still on target. The shooting is set to start this year in June, despite coronavirus restrictions.

It is reported that NIGHTMARE would be the main villain of the sequel. Meanwhile, Mordo from the first movie is regarded as a ‘friend turn foe’ and therefore, could act as a secondary villain for the film.

According to production weekly, possible synopsis of the movie says:

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone. But an old friend turned enemy seeks to destroy every sorcerer on Earth, messing with Strange’s plan and also causing him to unleash unspeakable evil.”

The movie was initially going to be directed by Scott Derekson, who led the first film. But in January 2020, Scott tweeted that he had officially stepped down as the director of the movie due to “creative differences” and, therefore, would only act as an executive producer.

In April 2020, Sam Raimi, director of the official Spiderman Trilogy, confirmed that he would helm the project ahead.

The movie will also tie in directly with the storylines of the Wanda-Vision and Loki series.

We will keep you updated as more details come up regarding Doctor Strange 2.
