Fans expected BBC drama Taboo Season 2 to drop soon after its premiere in 2017. BBC One instant renewed its second season but even after three years, fans are desperately waiting for the series. Created by Steven Knight and Hardy Son & Baker, Taboo is a period drama crime series that received positive reviews and highly praised for its performance, setting and story.

Taboo Season 2 Release Date

Even after getting a renewal, makers did not announce any official release date to date. However, makers confirmed two more seasons in the series but their release date roaming in dark.

The delay in the production of the second instalment also makes it difficult to predict when it would fall on the screen. The makers delayed the project for the last two years due to several hindrances. The latest obstacle created by an ongoing pandemic and delayed it to an unknown time period. We can assure fans that lead character Tom Hardy will be back as James Keziah Delaney for the second season. Along with him, Leo Bill will appear as Benjamin Wilson, Stephen Graham as Atticus, Jefferson Hall as Thorne Geary, Mark Gatiss as Prince George.

Besides, Tom Hollander, Marina Hands, David Hayman, Edward Hogg, Jonathan Pryce also join season 2.

Taboo Season 2 Storyline

Season 1 concludes with eight episodes, at the end of which we learn that Zilpha killed herself and James while awaiting his trial. While Atticus and Lorna tell Helga that the East India Company framed James for killing Winter. The Prince Regent poses as a traitor and a shootout begins at the dockside, killing people, the remaining survivors of the gruesome shootout fly to America. The next season will continue from where it ended.
