Cursed is set to be Netflix’s latest instalment in its Netflix Originals series.
What is Cursed about?
Based on a Young-Adult novel of the same name, it revolves around Nimue, the young protagonist whose fate lies in helping Arthur ascend the throne in Camelot. She enlists Arthur’s help to deliver an ancient magical sword to the wizard Merlin, after her mother’s death. The novel, by Tom Wheeler, and illustrated by Frank Miller focuses on the idea of telling the story of King Arthur according to the Lady of the Lake.
When does Season One premiere?
The novel released on October 1 2019. The filming process began on March 4, 2019. Due to high level of visual effects, the series was expected to premiere in either December 2019 or 2020. Reports say that Season One will premiere in Spring 2020. Netflix has not confirmed dates as of now.
Is the trailer out?
There has been no trailer released as of now. Unless the post-production of the series has been affected due to the corona-virus pandemic lock-down, we can expect the trailer and the series soon.
Who will we be seeing?
The cast has well known actors stepping up – Katherine Langford, Devon Turell, Gustaf Skarsgard, Bella Dayne, Olafur Darri Olafson, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, and Jennifer Saayeng among others.
Katherine Langford will be playing the role of Nimue, and her avatar is very different from the ones she’s played before. Fans of the Thirteen Reasons Why actress will get to see her in a new role, fighting, using magic, and in a completely medieval setting.
