The Fast & Furious movie franchise is well-acclaimed in the world. Fast & Furious seven and Fast & Furious eight have reached the global $billion – dollar mark. Fast & Furious seven reportedly ranked $1.51bn as the ninth-biggest movie ever.
Apart from that, the spin-off Hobbs and Shaw did pretty well in the box office too. Thus, Fast & Furious’s return with a ninth movie is less surprising and more exciting than ever!
Fast & Furious 9: Air Date
The initial release date for Fast & Furious 9 was 22nd May 2020. Actor Vin Diesel went abroad on social media platforms to promote the movie. However, the sad news was unknowingly lurking on the corner.
Various movies have shifted their original release date due to the coronavirus outbreak. The global pandemic has stopped production houses from working, and movie theatres remain close due to the norms of social distancing.
At present, the release date for Fast & Furious 9 is 2nd April 2020. However, it is, of course, a long way to think about regarding the global situation to return to normalcy. Hopefully, if things get better before expected, we can hope to catch an early release of the film too.
Fast & Furious 9: Cast
We expect to see Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto along with his wife Letty, played by Michelle Rodriguez. We also have his son played by Brian Marcos. John Cena is going to play Jakob Toretto, Dom’s brother, and Jordana Brewster is going to play Mia Toretto, Dom and Jakob’s younger sister.
Dom’s racing team comprises Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, who is an ex-habitual offender, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, who is a mechanic from Miami, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey who is a British club hacktivist. Additionally, we also have Sung Kang as Han Lue, who was a former member of Dom’s team and was thought to be dead.
Fast & Furious 9: Update on DK’s Character
We did see DK in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift edition. The plot of his life is not well explored, but maybe the next instalment of Fast and Furious can give us some heads up about it.
