This series is on “true crime” cases in Fargo this show is inspired by the eponymous 1996 film written and directed by the Coen brothers who are credited as executive producers on the series alongside Hawley.
The season one premiered April 15, 2014, on FX and followed an anthology format, each season set in different eras, different story and a different set of actors this is pure television treat. Each season contains numerous references to Coen brother’s films.
The season one set in Minnesota 2006 with a fantastic selection of actors and a very well-written script, made its presence felt it received numerous amount of awards banking prestigious accolades like the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Miniseries, Oustanding Directing, and Outstanding Casting, followed the Golden Globes Award for Best Miniseries Award and Best Actor- Miniseries or Television film for Thornton.
Season two was a success too, set in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota in 1979. This season also managed to bank widespread critical acclaim and nominations in different categories in prestigious awards like the Golden Globes and the Emmys.
The third season was set in Minnesota in the year 2010, and Like previous seasons, it was met with acclaim from critics; received Emmy nominations including Outstanding Miniseries, and acting nominations for McGregor, Coon, and Thewlis. It received three Golden Globe nominations, for Outstanding Limited Series, and McGregor and Thewlis for performing, with McGregor winning in his category.
This series announces its fourth season, and we were all geared up to watch some action take place.
Fargo Season 4 Release:
The season four was scheduled to premiere on April 19, 2020, but it was delayed indefinitely after production was suspended due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic.
We cant wait to see how Hawley puts this all together for season four, season 4 trailer, tells us that the show has lost none of its dry wit, visual flair, and ear for Midwestern dialogue in the interim.

What Can One Say About The Trailer?
“Italians, they’re the past,” Rock says in the trailer. “We’re the future. They just don’t know it yet.” Season four is set in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri (ditching the show’s Minnesota setting for the first time), tells the tale of Loy Cannon (Rock), who leads a crime syndicate made up of black migrants who fled the Jim Crow South. Their uneasy peace with Kansas City’s Italian mafia is shattered when the head of the mafia dies, setting off the flood of violence teased in the trailer.
The Cast For Season 4:
Chris Rock, Jason Schwartzman, Timothy Olyphant and Ben Wishaw. There have been no official announcements on release date and or anycast additions.
