A series of reckless violence, heists, side missions, and everything makes GTA one of the most addictive games to play. A new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is early in development and is the rumored followup to GTA V. Rockstar had announced GTA 6 the day after Red Dead Redemption 2 came out (October 26, 2018).
The past two mainline GTA games were set in Liberty City and San Andreas, and after a consensus by the developers, GTA 6 will go back to the Miami-inspired Vice City. GTA 6 is codenamed Project Americas and is rumored to be set between the 1970s and 1980s. The main characters’ involvement with the drug trade will be a prime feature as the game may feature drug empire mechanics inspired by Vice City. The game will be set during a particular era and could contain flashback missions.
The first “GTA” game had come out on October 21, 1997, and the game has been around for nearly 22 years. In a rumor that is being circulated, Rockstar may probably break the tradition with “GTA 6” by making it the first game in the franchise to feature a playable female protagonist. The game is rumored to launch on next-gen consoles Xbox Scarlett and the PlayStation 5.
What Are New Locations Added In The Game?
“GTA 6” will reportedly take place across multiple big cities and will allow the players to travel to and from back these featured cities. As per the rumors, it would take place in Los Santos, Vice City, and Liberty City after a Rockstar Games employee posted a review on Glassdoor. The report contained the obscure acronym: “GTA6LSVCLC.”
When Will GTA 6 Be Launched?
There has been no official confirmation yet regarding its release, but some fans have speculated that it will come out sometime in 2021 or 2022. Stay tuned for more updates with PopCultureTimes.
