Kung Fu Panda franchise is the absolute favourite for all millennials. The animated movie franchise, centred around the life of bumbling panda Po has stretched over three movies and a cartoon series.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation, the first movie came out way back in 2008. It was an instant hit with the fans and the critics. The next two movies of the franchise replicated the same experience. That opens up questions regarding our expectation from Kung Fu Panda 4.
Kung Fu Panda 4: Release Date
The last movie of the franchise came out in 2016 and was expected to be quickly followed by Kung Fu Panda 4. However, the project got stalled for quite a time forcing the producers to push back its original 2018 release.
The official date of release for the movie is yet to come. It has now been confirmed that scripting of the movie is finally complete. Considering the corona pandemic, the production of the movie might still need some time.
If everything goes smoothly after that, the movie might see daylight in late 2020 or early 2021.
Kung Fu Panda 4: Cast
Once the production begins, the original cast can be expected to lend their voices once again. That would ensure Jack Black to return as Po, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu as Tigress and Viper respectively.
Kung Fu Panda 4: Plot
The last movie ended favourably for our hero Po. Kai was destroyed, and the balance returned to the spirit and mortal realm. Most importantly, the movie’s theme of self-discovery was also reconciled. Oogway helped Po realize that he was the true Dragon Warrior and his successor.
With peace residing in the valley, it seems this movie will introduce us to a new villain. It would also be interesting to learn more about Po as he settles into his panda village. With no announcements from the producers, we can do very little but guess.
Kung Fu Panda 4: Trailer
There is no trailer out yet as the film is yet to go into production. However, we can expect a trailer to land a few months preceding the film’s release.
