Several wrong decisions marred season 2 of One Punch Man. A change in director not only led to inferior animation but both the pacing and tone suffered. A show that was once among the best is now considered mediocre.
Yet, Saitama is a popular name. It is synonymous to cool among kids and teenagers. Which means One Punch Man season 3 is pretty much confirmed. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season from the release date to its cast and the plot.
One Punch Man Season 3 Details:
TV pundits and experts speculated that the third season would air by Fall 2020. But the coronavirus outbreak means that it will be delayed further. Although animators and CG artists can work from home, the rest of the team cannot.
A majority of the post-production needs to be in studios. Meanwhile, marketing and promotion are nearly impossible at the moment. Once the situation gets settled, the next season will hopefully arrive by Fall 2021.
Will The Original Studio Return?
The drop in the quality of animation was highly noticeable. It disappointed fans to the point they began a petition to bring back the original director Shingo Natsume and the unique studio Madhouse Inc.
If the producers wish to please the fans, they need to listen to them. Moreover, the difference in quality is so apparent that this decision should be the first one regarding One Punch Man season 3.
What Can We See In The Third Season?
If the next season follows the webcomics/ manga faithfully, we will see more of Garou. Garou is the main adversary of the Hero Association and is loved by the fanbase. He will get more focus and character development in the upcoming season.
Season 3 may also reveal the source of Saitama’s unparalleled strength. The concept of “Limiter” will also be introduced in the next season. We won’t be spoiling it for you. If you wish to find out, you can read the manga or wait for One Punch Man season 3.
