The Eternals is an upcoming superhero movie based on Marvel comics. It is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures. The movie is said to be releasing on 6th November 2020 and will be part of MCU Phase 4.
We will see many new faces in the Marvel universe such as Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Brian Tyree Henry as Phaistos, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Barry Keoghan as Drug, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman/ The Black Knight. Chloe Zhao is the director, and Kevin Feige will be producing the movie.
According to the comics, the Eternals were granted their powers by a Celestial who visited earth. They were given the ability that vaguely resembles the infinity stones, and using these powers, and they are able to augment their own life force, making them invulnerable and immortal.
There is no official news about the plot of the movie, but various hints were dropped during the interview with the Eternals. Kevin Feige confirmed Eternals would span 7,000 years and move through different time periods. He also added the Eternals would introduce the Deviants, a group from the Marvel Comics. He also revealed that the Eternals have some connection with Thanos, but they will mainly be focusing on introducing the ten new characters. Feige also mentions the movie is said to have an ancient alien vibe. A possible leak listed Babylon 800 B.C. as a setting and time period of the movie. Rumor has it that Sersi might fall in love with Dane Whitman. There is still no official trailer even though the movie is set to release in November.
