What is the series about?
Haikyu is a sports anime that is adapted from the Japanese shonen manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The series started with a short boy Hinata Shoyo who starts loving volleyball after seeing a match. The character that inspired him the most is similar to him and is called ‘The Little Giant’.
The series also has another genius and gifted character Kageyama, who is also part of the same team as Hinata. The team is also filled with other experienced players who work hard as Karasuno aims to win the Nationals. The nationals arc is covered in season 4 and is in progress.
Is season 5 confirmed and where can fans find it?
Animation studio Production IG has already confirmed the series for a fifth season. According to the producers, it is not season 5 and will be Haikyu, To The Top: Season 2. It will be streamed as season 5 on Netflix after the whole season has been aired.
The series is taking a mid-season break in the already confirmed 25 episodes. The second half is set to premiere in July 2020. Although the actual release date might not be known, fans are expecting it by July first week.
What is the plot and what does a fan need to know?
The plot is quite simple in the fourth and fifth seasons. Karasuno enters the Nationals and battles strong teams from all over the country. We can also find Kageyama and Hinata growing at an astonishing rate when compared to their previous seasons.
What are the talks about the new cast in the series?
There have already been various new members that have been revealed in the show. The All Japan Youth training camp showcased various talented members from different parts of Japan. Hinata also makes friends with more people when he sneaks into the training camp that Tsukishima was invited to.
