The series has continued well-on for six seasons with the last part to be aired in 2020. However, Michael Hirst has made a statement that this would be the last of it. The series won’t continue toward a season 7 or more. Hence, there would be no trailer or a break-down of it. But this definitely won’t be an end. It is made known that a spin-off to the series is in the works which will be airing on none other than Netflix.

Valhalla, an exclusive 24 episode show is going to be directed by Michael Hirst and will be written by Jeb Stuart. The show will be filmed at Ashford Studios in Wicklow, Ireland. Hirst, in his interview with the Entertainment Weekly gave us a peek in his project:

“One of the big issues is the Christianisation of the Pagan World. You are going to see Christian Viking Armies fighting Pagan Viking Armies, and that’s really interesting.”
