Out of all the projects undertaken by MCU, Eternals quite possibly holds the maximum potential in terms of how far the storyline could go.

Eternals are a group of super-powered, immortal characters from another planet which on some of their inter-galactic missions run into the superheroes of the Earth. The Eternals have their own set of exciting power-dynamics and origin stories that might form the significant portion of the movie’s plot.

In the Eternals comics by Jack Kirby, he mentions that the Eternals are created by yet another powerful and ancient race called the “Celestials” to restore the lost balance in the universe.

While these Eternals are working towards the collective good of humankind, we have their counterparts called the “Deviants”, who are described as horrendous creatures that are carefully plotting their way to gain power over the cosmos.

This movie will be directed by Chloe Zhao, who at the comic-con told the fans that the movie will primarily deal with the various human-experiences the Eternals have had in our planet ever since their creation and how they struggle to keep the Deviants at bay.

Who are the members of the cast involved in the movie?

Marvel took the fans by surprise by introducing several A-listed actors who would be playing the role of different Eternals in the movie, including Angelina Jolie who will be playing the role of Thena.

Then, Richard Madden who will be donning the avatar of Ikaris, Salma Hayek who will be playing a gender-bender version of Ajak, Don Lee will be starring as Gilgamesh, Kumail Nanjiani who will appear as Kingo, Kit Harrington will be starring as a non-eternal character called the Black Knight, and we have Gemma Chan playing the role of the witch Sersi.

When can we expect to see the movie?

The production of the movie was expected to be complete by the beginning of this year, and the post-production of the movie is on work. If everything goes according to the plan, then we can expect the movie to release on it’s previously scheduled date of Nov 6, 2020.
