A Discovery of Witches set its record for a fabulous debut for 2018! The show, based on Deborah Harkness’s All Souls literary trilogy, is routing up for two more seasons. The plot of two seasons will be based on ‘Shadow of Night’ and ‘The Book of Life’.
A Discovery of the Witches Season 2
Sarah Dollard, and Susie Conklin, well-known personalities, were responsible for writing the second season. Conklin, Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner, Lachlan MacKinnon and Harkness have been laying inputs as co-founders. The fan base of season 1 includes old and young individuals who have made the show a huge hit!
Season 2 release hasn’t given out the dates. Currently, It will hopefully be out by 2020! Palmer told Collider about beginning filming in July, with the rest of the cast starting earlier because she was having a baby then (what!).
Fans will be delighted to know that the other half of the season has been shot at at Gloucestershire Cathedral. The place also featured ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Doctor Who’. @ADiscoveryOfWTV announces the last day of season two shooting on December 20, 2019, over a twitter post. One week later, on January 7, 2020, they announced that only two weeks of shooting were left to film creating a whole lot of confusion on the release dates.
Is the cast of the show decided?
Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont will again feature as the show’s leads YAY! Sarah Bishop (Doctor Who), Emily Mather (Half & Half‘s Valarie Pettiford), Nathaniel Wilson (Daniel Ezra), and Sophie Norman (Aisling Loftus from Mr Selfridge) will come around too.
Aiysha Hart will return as Miriam Shephard alongside Edward Bluemel as Marcus Whitmore, Lindsay Duncan as Ysabeau de Clermont. Malin Buska will also return as Satu Järvinen. Owen Teale as Peter Knox, Trevor Eve as Gerbert D’Aurillac, and Gregg Chillin as Domenico Michele will also be around for season 2!
