Mindhunter is an American crime thriller television series created by Joe Penhall, based on the true-crime book Mindhunter Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

This series is a brilliant, gripping psychological drama, and this show debuted on Netflix in October 2017. The second season, which launched last August, focused on the Atlanta murders of 1979-81.

Season 2, which consisted of eight episodes and premiered in August, centred on the Atlanta child murders. In 1979-81, during which African-American serial killer Wayne Williams was tried, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for killing two adult males.

Williams, however, was never tried for any of the child murders, 23 of which he was suspected of being involved with other serial killers.

After the second season has been released, fans are beginning to wonder: is it going to return for a third outing?

Mindhunter has not been renewed for a third season just yet, and the series has been put on hold while director David Fincher works on other projects.

There is a possibility that Mindhunter will return once David’s schedule clears up. With so little information we do not know what will one see in the third season of Mind hunters. Assuming that season 3 might include,

“A complete reimagining of the show,”¬† Fingers crossed Netflix does end up renewing the show, and David finds time to work on it, and we get to see what that “reimagining” looks like.

The cast for Mindhunter season 3:

The three lead actors of Mindhunter  Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford, Holt McCallany as Bill Tench and Anna Torv as Wendy Carr have been released from their contracts while Fincher works on another project.

Let us just hold up see whether fans get their season3 or no?.
