Uncharted: Air Date

Sony began talks of an Uncharted film all the way back in 2008, right after they launched the game. Uncharted has enjoyed worldwide success as an action-adventure game for PlayStation 3.

As early as in 2014, Sony reported that it has “set in stone” a release date for 2016. But that did not take place.

Previous reports include both Chris Pratt and Mark Wahlberg as potential Drakes, although both had opted out. The fandom was campaigning for Nathan Fillion to assume the lead role. But Sony has found its Drake in Tom Holland, best known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man.

Holland is not the only MCU actor in the project, as Chris Hemsworth was rumoured to be first in line to play Drake’s ally and friend, Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Sony has confirmed that Mark Wahlberg will play Sully.

Uncharted: Plot

Not much of the plot is known yet. But what we do know is that the story is now a prequel to the games. It stars Holland as a younger Drake, when he meets and befriends Sully.

If the movie is anything like the games, one can expect lots of high-octane action sequences, dramatic fight scenes. It has the potential to be a plot that shows us how Drake came to be the adventurer and treasure hunter we know him today.

Uncharted: Who Are The New Faces In Trailer?
