A Netflix hit crime thriller may or may not be back to give a hit again. It is all about Mindhunter. The fans are eagerly waiting for the show. The audience has shown it in the nine episodes of the last season.
But there is a spoiler alert for the fans. Netflix has not given a green signal for the next season. It has confirmed that there might be a future season. Because there are no technical issues to serve as a reason for its cancellation. Also, there are a lot of doubts regarding the cast and crew. The team hasn’t cancelled the show, but it has just kept on hold.
When can we expect the season to air on Netflix?
There is no confirmation from the team regarding the release date. If we think about the previous season, the first season was in 2017. The second season hit Netflix after a two-year gap, i.e., in 2019.
So if we think about the third season, there are chances that it might take some more time to release the show. So we have to wait for some more time to receive any official news from the team regarding its production level.
Who could all be a part of the show?
If we are going to get a renewal, then some of the characters to return are for sure. We can expect to see Special Agents Holden Ford by Jonathan Groff and Bill Tench by Holt McCallan to be featured on the screens.
The psychology professor who is also the FBI consultant Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) may return along with Special Agent Gregg Smith (Joe Tuttle), Bill’s wife Nancy (Stacey Roca), FBI Chief Ted Gunn (Michael Cerveris), Brian (Zachary Scott Ross) who is the adopted son of Bill and Nancy.
What may be the plot?
In the last season, we saw that Brian had known about the murder of the boy. But he planned to remain silent. But the trauma that he faced was quite heart touching. Though Brian does not have direct involvement in the murder of the guy, he is indirectly involved. Maybe this season can feature reality. We will have to see what happens to families of Bill and Fench after knowing the truth.
Let’s wait for much official news from the team.
