God of War 5 Release Date, Story mode and the Spartan flame will make a return?
During the release of God of War PS4, it was already confirmed that the new God of War game is the first in a trilogy currently in development.
The God of War franchise is a massive success for Sony as it redesigned the user interaction and also worked upon a new perception for the players. The game storyline stepped away from Greek mythology and stepped into the Norse mythology.
God of War: Release date and storyline
The game is expected to be released on Play Station 5 and probably a Play Station 5 Pro, as it is a next-generation game.
The direction Cory Barlog is not in a mood to create a next-gen God of War game. As for him, it is time-consuming. But Sony is determined to release the game on PS5.
It is expected that the game will be released in 2021.
The game will continue the story left off by the last God of War game and explore Norse mythology. It might be possible that Freya will be the main antagonist in God of War 5. The overall story arc will revolve around the events of Ragnarok. That will mainly show the events depicting the deaths of most of the Norse gods, such as Odin, Thor and Loki.
Stephens revealed that “if Kratos were to meet with Odin or Thor, it would have to be bigger and better than what they did with this new instalment.”
“Kratos and Atreus have triggered Ragnarok, the end of times in the Norse mythology. The next God of War game will revolve around the beginning of the end, and if the ending of God of War PS4 is any indication, Thor is the big bad in God of War 5.”
