Netflix is coming up with another live-action Manga after the ‘Death Note.’ The new project is based on Haro Aso’s manga Alice in Borderland. In weekly Shonen Sunday, the spin-off series ran by the name Alice in Borderland: Chi no Kyokuchi – Daiya no King-hen.
There was another spin-off titled Imawa no Michi no Alice in Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday GX magazine in August 2015. It ended in February 2018. Since Netflix shows the project release date as 2020, so we can expect the show to come sometime around 2020 to 2022.
There is not much new about the cast of the show yet. But Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya are up for the lead roles. Kento Yamazaki is a Japanese actor famous for his work in movies like Good Doctor and Deat Note. Tao Tsuchiya is also the Japanese actress famous for her work in Orange and Deep Red Love.
The Story to be Told
The manga centers on Ryōhei Arisu, which means ‘Alice’ in Japanese. He’s a high school student with an irritating life. One day he tags along with his bad friends Karube and Chōta to hang out in town. There are giant fireworks around the town sky. They found no one after that getting some sense. Being transported into a different reality, now Ryōhei, Karube, and Chōta are forced to participate in survival games or die right off the bat. The three-fight to live, as well as to find a way back to their world.
The creator of the manga Also began working on it in 2010. It got onto the level of heights by 2015. It ended in March 2016, and Shogakakun published 18 compiled book volumes. It’s 12th, 13th, and 14th volumes shipped with original video anime episodes. According to the fans, the story has a cliche ending, but the scenarios of the games were very well thought out.
