Thanks to Jason Momoa, we already had an idea about how the first film was going to end. He said, “He was born with the powers but he never really harnessed them, honed them, I think when he was a little boy, he had these powers and he didn’t hone them, so this whole journey of him going to become the king… the last frame of this movie you’re going to see him become what he’s destined to be.”

The movie ended with Arthur defeating Orm and being the rightful king of Atlantis. So the sequel will see him as a king during his initial days of the rule. Jason told Esquire, came in with a big pitch. I came in with the whole thing mapped out, and they loved it.”

The trailer isn’t releasing anytime soon; the trailer isn’t dropping anytime before the end of 2021.
