Amazon Prime’s ‘Grand Tour’ is in talks again. The show that features three adult man touring through the major cities in traditional ways and trying the things out. The show is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. They got the fame from the car-based show Top Gear.
The Grand Tour has four seasons till now. It started back in 2016 and has gathered a great fan base. The show announced for the season 5 back in July 2019. Although we are still on episode 1 of season 4, we can expect season 5 by 2021.
The Tour’s Grand Team
The show is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The fourth season stared Abbie Eaton and Mike Skinner. The tour was enjoyed and shot through camping and the camera crew.
The show has been to various major cities. Locations like Johannesburg, Lapland, Rotterdam, Stuttgart Whitby, Scotland, California, Nashville, and Dubai — the team films inside their giant traveling tent instead of a studio.
Other than that show’s primary focus has been on Asia. In the last episode or the first episode of season 4, the team trades in four-wheel travel in favor of boats while exploring the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia.
What’s Up With May?
James May has talked about leaving the show ever since season 4 came out. It could be his old age, as he mentioned in some interviews or could be some misunderstanding with the co-cast. In a 30 second clip, we can hear May, who is left behind, saying, ‘I am trying to catch up with people who I don’t even want to be with anyway.’ It could be his old age too, as he asked who’d like to watch older people touring who takes more than 20 minutes while just getting off the car.
