Good Girls has been renewed for a 3rd run on NBC! The renewal occurred only six episodes into Season 2, which tells us how good this really is!
The story of Good Girls is not your average story. Beth’s (Christina Hendricks) husband, Dean (Matthew Lillard) leaves Beth for another woman. Annie (Mae Whitman), Beth’s little sister isn’t doing any better and is a divorced mother of a teen working under minimum wage to make a living for both of them.
Good Girls Season 2 saw Beth deciding to shoot her criminal ally and love interest, Rio (Manny Montana), rather than shooting Detective Turner (James Lesure). However, Rio could be alive and could’ve already made a deal with Turner to catch Beth. There’s a lot going on, to say the least, and there are slight possibilities that these could carry the show forward into season 4 as well!
We know Good Girls Season 3 will return to NBC, but when? There has been no word on the date of premiere or the number of episodes there would be, predictions can be made looking at the schedules of Season 1 and 2. The most likely date, after taking into consideration the release dates of Season 1 and 2, could be sometime in late February 2020.
Good Girls Season 3 Plot
Good Girls Season 2 ended leaving Annie, Ruby, and Beth in interestingly weird places. What about the new counterfeit money scheme? Will the girls be able to make it happen? There are other loose ends too, including the question over the death of Rio and whether he’ll coordinate with Turner to catch Beth.
The executive producers of the show have said that Ruby, Beth, and Annie are going to go deeper into crime and this will let them examine the relationship between the women.
Bans said,” We have an interesting idea of taking that friendship dynamic even further in season 3 because these women are really sisters in that they can hate each other one second and love each other the next.”
