Question- Batwoman has always aired on the CW Network but now will it also air on Netflix? Will we see Ruby Rose’s Batwoman, a part of the Arrowverse on one of the world’s favourite streaming platform?
Answer– Unfortunately, no. At least not on Netflix USA. Though it has access to CW’s content, that contract terminated in the earlier part of 2019. From now on, Netflix will have to shop their own titles. This also means that CW titles will now have to be licenced separately.
Unless it is possible for Netflix to be able to share the streaming license, it can not legally stream the season. We all know that Netflix will not take part in illegal activities, and neither should they.
Talking about other regions of Netflix, there is a good reason to believe that they will stream Batwoman. There is no knowledge of their contract with CW, and neither has there been any news of them being prohibited from streaming the show.
Australia is a different story as there are multiple streaming platforms upon which DC shows are available.
The show confirmed not to stream mad the fans sad. But hey, so was the “exit” of Tom Holland’s Spiderman but he is back (thanking all the Gods for that, phew).
Even if it does not stream on the platform, CW will always be there for us. Fans can always go back to their recordings of the show because hi, we are busy people and may not always have the time to watch the show always all on the time it airs. CW re-runs will always be available on the Network.
Still hoping that Netflix and CW can negotiate(maybe Tom Holland can help, even though it’s a different universe). There is a chance it may stream on Netflix, but we just have to be calm and patient.
